Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Liberia Business Awards 3.0 ("LBA 3.0", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Liberia Business Awards 3.0, including nominations, partnerships, events, and use of our website.

Important: By participating in LBA 3.0, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not participate in the awards program.

1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, participating in, or using any services provided by Liberia Business Awards 3.0, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for nomination and participation in Liberia Business Awards 3.0, businesses and individuals must meet the following criteria:

Entrepreneurs	Liberian citizenship or legal residency Active business ownership/leadership Demonstrable business achievements No criminal convictions related to business
Startups	Business less than 5 years old Innovative product/service Growth potential demonstrated Minimum 3 months of operation

Disqualification Grounds

Businesses may be disqualified for: false information, unethical practices, legal violations, bankruptcy proceedings, or previous award revocation.

3 Nomination Process

3.1 Submission Guidelines

All nominations must be submitted through the official LBA website or authorized channels
Nominations open on March 1, yearly and close on May 30 (5:59 PM) Liberia Time
Each business may be nominated in up to 3 categories
Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged
All information provided must be accurate and verifiable

3.2 Required Documentation

Nominations must include:

Business registration documents

Tax clearance certificate

Business profile/description

Achievements and impact evidence

3.3 Entry Fees

There are no entry fees for nominations. The Liberia Business Awards is committed to making business recognition accessible to all qualified Liberian businesses regardless of size or financial capacity.

4 Judging Process

4.1 Judging Panel

The judging panel consists of independent industry experts, business leaders, and professionals selected for their expertise and impartiality. Judges are required to:

Sign confidentiality agreements
Declare any conflicts of interest
Evaluate submissions based on established criteria
Maintain impartiality throughout the process

4.2 Evaluation Criteria

4.3 Final Decision

The judging panel's decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging process or results. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on May 30, 2026.

5 Partnership Terms

5.1 Partnership Categories

Platinum Partner

$10,000+ investment with maximum visibility and exclusive benefits

Gold Partner

$5,000-$9,999 with prominent branding and speaking opportunities

Silver Partner

$2,500-$4,999 with recognition and event participation

5.2 Partner Obligations

Partners must fulfill financial commitments as agreed
Branding materials must be provided in specified formats
Partners must adhere to LBA brand guidelines
Partnership benefits are non-transferable

5.3 Payment Terms

Payment Schedule: 50% upon agreement signing, 50% 30 days before the awards ceremony.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations more than 60 days before the event receive 50% refund. Cancellations within 60 days are non-refundable.

6 Intellectual Property

6.1 Ownership Rights

All intellectual property rights related to Liberia Business Awards 3.0, including but not limited to logos, trademarks, content, and materials, are owned by Liberia Business Awards or its licensors.

6.2 Participant Grant of Rights

By participating, you grant LBA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:

Use your business name, logo, and submitted materials for promotional purposes
Feature your business in LBA publications and media
Share your success stories across LBA platforms
Archive your submission for historical records

6.3 Restrictions

Participants may not use LBA logos, trademarks, or branding without express written permission. Unauthorized use may result in disqualification and legal action.

7 Privacy & Data Protection

7.1 Data Collection

We collect personal and business information necessary for the awards process, including but not limited to:

Business Data

Registration details, financial information, business documents

Contact Data

Names, emails, phone numbers, addresses

Submission Data

Nomination forms, supporting documents, achievements

Usage Data

Website analytics, interaction data, communication history

7.2 Data Usage

Collected data is used for:

Processing nominations and evaluating submissions
Communicating awards-related information
Improving LBA programs and services
Complying with legal obligations
Marketing and promotional activities (with consent)

7.3 Data Protection

Our Commitment

8 Liability & Disclaimers

8.1 Limitation of Liability

Liberia Business Awards, its organizers, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of profits, business, or opportunities
Technical issues preventing submission or participation
Errors or omissions in awards materials
Actions of third parties or partners

8.2 Disclaimers

The awards are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. LBA does not guarantee business success, funding, or specific outcomes from participation. Award recognition does not constitute endorsement of business practices or financial stability.

8.3 Indemnification

Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Liberia Business Awards from any claims, damages, or losses arising from their participation, including but not limited to false information, intellectual property infringement, or breach of these terms.

9 Termination Rights

9.1 LBA's Rights

Liberia Business Awards reserves the right to:

Disqualify any participant for breach of these terms
Cancel or modify the awards program at any time
Withdraw awards if winners are later found ineligible
Remove content that violates these terms
Terminate partnerships for non-compliance

9.2 Participant Rights

Participants may withdraw their nomination at any time by written notice to info@liberiabusinessawards.com. Withdrawn nominations are not eligible for refund of any costs incurred.

10 Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Liberia.

10.1 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Monrovia, Liberia.

10.2 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

11 Amendments

11.1 Modification Rights

Liberia Business Awards reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to participants via email and website announcements.

11.2 Notification of Changes

Notification Method: Changes will be posted on our website with the "Last Updated" date modified. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
